A giant FL Studio Performance mode project brings all the sliced loops together for performance or production. (2 versions of the same project saved for use in FL 11.1.1 or FL 12.1.3). Freely change the tempo, master pitch of the melodic elements or the amount of swing (FL 12 only) in real time. 6 tracks of clips apply creative audio effects to. Clean and punchy kick is probably the most important element in majority of electronic music. Hey there beat hunters!
As of late requests have been made to see how to make your own mixes and or Dubstep. So let's start off with the software you will want to use.
My personal favorite software mix is FL Studio. It is professional grade software that is cheap and easy to use. JPhelpz also swears by it, and it is his main software for mixing and creating beats.
If you feel like messing around with beats and fades, MixPad is a decent free mixer that has some upgradable features and is quite a bit easier to use than FL Studio. My main complaint about MixPad is you cannot generate as many sounds as FL Studio, and it has a limited storage space.
With software in mind, we can get started on the road to making your first Dubstep. The key to any Dubstep is your beat bed. And the key to any beat bed is your kick and snare patterns, which is your drum line at the intro and in the back ground.
Basically it's the beat that gets you moving and grooving.
If you use the recommended FL Studio, my good friend JPhelpz has created a tutorial on the how to create a basic kick and snare pattern using FL Studio.
Follow his instruction and he will have you up and running in no time!
